Our Story

Rock Creek Property Group is a real estate investment and development company based in Washington, DC. Since its formation in 2000, the company has acquired and developed a diverse array of properties from apartments, condominiums, retail centers and commercial office buildings, to unique historic structures, and boutique mixed-use projects.

Rock Creek is managed by Gary Schlager and Andrew Glick, two industry veterans who have acquired and developed several billion dollars of property across all asset classes. Having worked together since the company’s formation, Gary and Andy draw from deep roots in the commercial leasing, property management, accounting, and finance fields through their ownership of several related service companies in the region. They lead a seasoned, high-caliber team of dedicated investment, development, and construction professionals.

Rock Creek has decades of experience in various aspects of commercial and multifamily real estate, including development, leasing, construction, structured finance, and asset and property management. We excel in both value creation opportunities, using our leasing and asset management skills, as well as more complex development projects involving entitlement initiatives, adaptive re-use of historic properties, and repositioning of office buildings. This experience enhances our ability to develop properties to their highest and best use, evaluate opportunities, assess risk, and create value. By looking at opportunities through the lens of the end-user tenant or resident, we are able to create unique properties that set themselves apart from the marketplace.

Rock Creek funds its projects through a variety of private vehicles and we invest significant capital alongside our investors and joint venture partners. For more than a decade we structured private syndications for each asset and, since 2009, we have raised three discretionary real estate funds and continue to deploy capital across a variety of development, income-producing and value-add opportunities in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.
